About the program
Math made clear and doable
Excel in Math Learning Program is a bilingual virtual mathematics intervention and academic enrichment program serving students from Grade 4 through graduate level mathematics, in English and Spanish.
We begin with diagnostic assessments to identify learning gaps and individual needs. Sessions align with each student classroom instruction and use their homework, textbooks, notes, worksheets, study guides, and online platforms, supported by targeted practice, explanations, reviews, and assessments provided by Excel in Math.
Through personalized learning plans, student centered instruction, and progress monitoring, we strengthen foundations, improve conceptual understanding and problem solving, raise grades, prepare students for advanced coursework, and build confidence and independence.

Miltha Martinez, M.Ed.
Founder and Director, Mathematics Intervention Specialist
I hold bachelor degrees in Mathematics and Industrial Engineering and a Master of Education with a concentration in Mathematics. I am a National Tutoring Association Certified Tutor and Mathematics Intervention Specialist with more than 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience.
Throughout my career, I have worked with students from Grade 4 through high school, college, and graduate level mathematics, from many different backgrounds. I created Excel in Math because I believe students succeed when instruction addresses their learning gaps and adapts to their individual needs.
My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them understand mathematics, develop confidence, and become independent learners.

We serve students from Grade 4 through high school, college, and graduate level mathematics. Acceptance depends on the student needs, subject, and current availability.
We use the student current materials whenever possible, including textbooks, class notes, assignments, worksheets, study guides, online learning platforms, and resources provided by the teacher or school. We also provide additional materials through Excel in Math, such as targeted practice exercises, review materials, explanations, assessments, and resources selected or created to address the student individual needs.
Subjects include foundational mathematics, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Statistics, and AP Mathematics. Standardized test preparation may include the SAT, ACT, PSAT/NMSQT, New York State Regents mathematics examinations, GRE Quantitative Reasoning, Praxis mathematics examinations, GED mathematics, and other school, college, placement, certification, or standardized mathematics tests, depending on the content and instructor availability.
Services are currently provided virtually, which allows us to work with students from every state and around the world.
